Cook Team Leader

The Wildwood Soup Kitchen is currently seeking a volunteer to join our team as cook lead. Although this position does not have an active cooking roll, it will entail 1 to 2 flexible days per week of direct contact with the daily cooks, and help maintain a variety of robust menus and recipe selection of nutritious meals which can be prepared in large output (400 meals daily). These meals will be packaged for home delivery as well as used in our dine in facility. This position will require someone with culinary experience, and preferably cooking experience in a high volume or institutional environment.

Deliver Meals to the Hungry

Due to our tremendous growth & outpouring of generosity, we have been able to feed many of the local hungry & homeless in Sumter County. However, as we grow, we also need Drivers who will give their time & gas to spend 3 hours once (or twice!) a week to deliver meals. It is a very rewarding experience to see the gratefulness of the folks who are so very hungry, yet they are often too shy to ask for help. Many times, it is a neighbor or friend who refers them to the Wildwood Soup Kitchen."
