Shift Manager

Shift Manager(s)

• Must possess strong organization and people skills
• Must be able to delegate responsibilities to others
• Ability to manage and direct the daily operations of the volunteers during an assigned four-hour shift
• Assure that all volunteer positions are adequately staffed
• Assure that all tasks are performed according to food and safety guidelines
• Motivate all shift volunteers to assure a friendly and cordial working environment for volunteers and clients
• Answer telephone and handle any questions or situation that arise
• Secure and properly handle all monetary donations
• Help with any cleaning needed.
• Answer any facility or operational questions. Responsible for any help with any facility issues and bring to attention of General Manager if needed.
• Report and coordinate with the General Manager on any issues that need to be resolved.

IN ADDITION TO THE DUTIES ABOVE, THE MORNING AND AFTERNOON DUTIES SPECIFIC TO EACH SHIFT ARE DETAILED BELOW. TRAINING WILL BE PROVIDED!

MORNING SHIFT MANAGER – 8 AM TO NOON

Organize, weigh and label all meat received from Sprouts/Walmart, etc into banana boxes. Weigh/labels and date the box. Put in freezer.
Monitor our patrons during dine-in hours. Assist them as needed, reminding them to eat first and shop when done, then exit the building.
Complete and hand in end of shift checklist

AFTERNOON SHIFT MANAGER – NOON TO 4PM

 Afternoon manager is responsible for gathering and labeling ingredients for the next day meal.

• Tidy up the sorting room by making sure all produce is either useable the next day or bagged and given to the pig farmers.

    Make sure all garbage is out and cans are relined with a clean bag
    All equipment turned off
    Tables are washed
    Lights are turned off
    Freezer/Cooler Temperature Chart filled in
